Dario over at Dario's Caballeros pointed me to Angela Swedberg's blog. Wow! Angela's profession and hobby is restoring and re-creating Plain's Indian beadwork, horse trappings and other ornamented clothing and gear. She does an astonishing job. Her work is stunning. Her blog is full of beautiful photos showing original items and her reproductions. Keep up the amazing work, Angela!
Angela -- I first saw your name in another blog, and am eager to see your work (and Cappy) in Butte. I live about 2 hours away from there and the Festival is on the calendar. I do respectful reproductions of some Plains Native gear, though my access to period materials is limited. I represent it as such, and it gives me enormous pleasure. A current project is a horse mask inspired by the Blackfeet piece 4.13 in "The Book". (!) I, too, read GHC with regularity and amazement; found it accidently. What a treasure.
Best regards to all, Jackie Baird

I want to Thank You for your kind words about my work. It's a funny thing where these blogs go, and who they reach. I love this one, and was pleasantly surprised to see mine mentioned when I checked this site today. The variety and information you bring out is priceless. Thank You so much for what you are doing.
With Respect,
Angela Swedberg
