Ski Joring (pronounced skee yore-ing) is a fairly wild sport of Scandinavian origins. It involves towing a skier behind a horse (or dog). In the US competitions are growing in popularity, and the local style is to race on a track that includes ski-jump ramps for the skier to tackle as the horse and rider gallop by.
